The hit and run crash also left Cristina Ortiz and Isabel Martinez without their husbands. Ortiz is seven months pregnant. Martinez has a three month old daughter.

Wednesday the family gathered at the Chowchilla home where all of the victims lived to mourn together and discuss funeral arrangements. They're considering holding a service at a chapel just across the street. And they're planning to have the bodies sent back to El Salvador. But it's all expected to cost tens of thousands of dollars. Fortunately, many people have already contacted the city to find out how they can help.

City of Chowchilla Spokesperson Peggy Haupt said, "The outpouring has been tremendous as it usually is in a small community. We get a lot of calls from people asking how they can help, how they can donate."

An account has now been set up at the Bank of America in Chowchilla. Lopez says she's very thankful for the support from strangers as she and her family try to cope with this tragedy.
