Fresno Man Shot Over Loud Music

Fresno, CA Around 10:30 Wednesday night, police were called to an apartment complex on West Dakota after a man in his 40's was shot in the neck.

Officers learned the gunman had barricaded himself in his own apartment unit. There was a 30 minute standoff before officers say the suspect ... a 60 year old man ... came outside.

Police say he would not listen to their instructions so they used a stun gun to take him into custody. Police say the victim had complained to his neighbor ... about his loud music ... so the neighbor shot him.

The bullet went through the man's neck and struck his dog. The man is in critical but stable condition in a hospital. His dog was taken to an emergency vet for treatment.
