PG&E shut down the power to most of the county just after 11 o'clock Friday night - including at the Mariposa Yosemite Airport.
A spokesperson for PG&E told Action News that power to all customers was restored early Saturday morning.
The county fire chief said the planned outage helped prevent bigger problems in the future.
"I think it's going to be less inconvenient doing overnight on a night like this rather waiting for an unplanned outage at some point during the day," said Jim Wilson, Mariposa Co. Fire Chief.
The fire department did call Mariposa County residents ahead of the outage to tell them they would be in the dark.
