Around 10 p.m. Tuesday night, people in the neighborhood of Douglas and Bellaire say they heard two or three small explosions and called police.
Officers say two teens were mixing household chemicals in plastic bottles and causing the blasts. The fire department and a hazmat crew identified the chemicals and cleaned up the mess.
Fire officials say it was a dangerous prank.
Officers spent the night questioning the teens. Police say the young men could face misdemeanor charges.
