It was a friend request from a former crush from more than 50 years ago
She met the man when he was just a 17-year-old marine when he sat down next to her on a Greyhound bus to Texas .
The two lost contact with each other 53 years ago and while they say they have a lot to catch up on, but one thing has stayed the same.
"We look different and time has changed things, but I still have that special feeling in my heart every time I look at him," Melody Longino said.
Now that they have rekindled their love, they are trying to decide whether to stay in Louisiana or move to his hometown in North Carolina.
