A search and rescue team located 21-year-old Adam Johnston of Santa Barbara Tuesday afternoon, but will not be able to get to him until Wednesday.
Johnston, his father, and a family friend went on a backpacking trip last Tuesday in the town of Bishop.
Authorities say Adam Johnston separated from the other two on Thursday and was last seen hiking from Cony Lake headed toward the Humphreys Lakes area.
When he didn't show up at their designated meeting location, the other two hiked back to bishop and reported Johnston missing.
Fresno County Sheriff spokesperson Chris Curtise talked about the rescue.
