Officers surrounded the 22-story building where the man had climbed on top. As police were negotiating, rapper T.I. -- whose real name is Clifford Harris -- happened upon the scene and told officers he wanted to help. The man agreed to come down in exchange for a few minutes face-to-face with Harris. T.I. said he told the man that as bad as it looks, it will always get better.
The good deed follows recent legal trouble for the rapper. He's due in court Friday for a parole violation hearing because of a recent drug arrest.
