Now, the California Geological Survey has released online fault zone maps for regions that are most susceptible to quakes. With a couple quick keystrokes you can see if you live near a fault zone.
Before now the information was only available at planning agencies or by buying a computer disc.
The information is also helpful for realtors and others who are required to disclose such information.
