More than 8-thousand residents in Madera and Mariposa Counties remain in the dark. And about 11-hundred customers in Fresno County still have no power.

After days without power, many residents in Oakhurst spent the day restocking for the next storm.

Volunteers handed out donated water to anyone who needed it. Since many homes in the mountain town rely on wells, the power outage has also shut down their water supply.

Downed trees are still creating a big problem around town. Paul Mertens lost about ten trees around his home.

Even though power has been restored to many homes, residents are planning for the potential of losing service again when the next storm arrives.
