About 100 people, mostly families of murdered victims met in Courthouse Park.
Susan Levy came from her home in Modesto to share her feelings about the murder of her daughter, Chandra Levy. She offered encouragement and understanding to those who have lost loved ones. But she also called for social change and an end to violent movies and TV shows.
Susan Levy says this was her first public appearance since the February sentencing of the man convicted of killing her daughter.
Chandra was an intern for Gary Condit when she disappeared in 2002.
