The grocery store on east Cross in Tulare shut its doors for the final time Saturday afternoon. Officials say the economy and competition led to a tough business decision. "This is my neighborhood store and I will really miss it, really miss it, so sad, very sad," Sarah Thompson said.
"The thing I like the most is that you get to know the people, very friendly its almost like a family," Liz Rocha said.
The company says all their employees were given jobs at other stores. Customers who have 'shares' cards can still help local organizations by shopping at other Save Mart locations throughout the Valley.
