Rehearsals are underway for "El Peso De Las Cosas" or "The Weight Of Things."
The production by El Teatro De La Tierra highlights the struggles many in the Hispanic community have fighting the fat.
"Many of the communities don't have access to healthy foods, fresh foods and vegetables and a supermarket. All they have available in their communities are fast food restaurants which are cheap and corner stores which don't carry fruits and vegetables," said Edie Jessup with Central California Regional Obesity Prevention.
The four theatrical vignettes also offer hopeful solutions.
