Bulldog running back Robbie Rouse provided two early touchdowns in the first half to put the 'Dogs up 17-10 at halftime.
But former Fresno State Quarterback Matt Faulkner led the Spartans in the 2nd half and San Jose state outscored Fresno State 17-7 to end the game. The Bulldogs are now 4-8 overall (3-4 WAC).
They will head to San Diego State Saturday to end their season without a bowl appearance.
