Students spent the morning making sack lunches for disadvantaged families. Students made peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, assembled snacks like chips and granola bars and created personalized cards for each bag.
It's all part of Catholic Schools Week, a national celebration that focuses on three priorities; faith, academics, and service.
Students and teachers say the day was an important lesson in giving time and effort to help others.
"We are all called to serve others so this is a good practice in good Catholic citizenship and look they're all excited about it, everyone brought what they were supposed to bring," said Principal Deborah Nettell.
Each student donated a food item to the cause. The lunches will be delivered to Catholic Charities which works to feed thousands of people in the Valley.
