Police say it started as a car-jacking around 10:15 p.m. Thursday night. Officers say the suspect demanded keys from a couple walking into a Selma Rite Aid store, then stole their car.
Police spotted the car a few minutes later and tried to stop the suspect. The suspect drove off, went on Highway 99, and drove into Fresno -- reaching speeds up to 90-miles-per hour.
The Fresno County Sheriff's Department and C.H.P. helped Selma Police in catching the suspect.
"Everyone's safe, the suspect is in custody... Everything worked out flawlessly," said Tim Cannon with the Selma Police Department.
Police say the suspect slowed down after one of the tires was damaged. The suspect finally pulled over and cooperated with police on Academy and Huntsman, just north of Selma.
No one was hurt during the chase.
