Fresno fire says flames erupted around midnight at a home on Home Avenue near First and McKinley in Central Fresno. Authorities say the fire started outside the home and then spread inside.
Firefighters say no one was inside the home when the fire started. The fire caused extensive damage to the outside but firefighters kept the flames from destroying the inside of the home.
Fresno Fire is still looking into the cost of the damage.
