Yosemite worker tests positive for Hantavirus anti-bodies

FRESNO, Calif.

The virus killed three Yosemite visitors and sickened six more last summer.

No park workers were among that total.

Public health officials say that the worker or workers who tested positive were less than one percent of the 569 employees who gave blood as part of the study.

The majority of those who were tested work for the national park service.

The department's full report on the outbreak is expected this spring or early summer.
