Pistachio growers are getting ready for a big year

Most growers here in California say they got a fair amount of chill hours this season.

This year's bloom will occur in the second half of April -- around two weeks later than usual. But growers says the late bloom will help reduce the risk of frost damage -- saying the later the blossom, the safer it is for their crops.
