Students at a Northwest Fresno school got a monster-sized thank you from Children's Hospital Central California.

Air George flew onto the campus of Starr Elementary on Monday morning. George the Giraffe, along with the hospital's CEO, stopped by to personally thank members of the school's Kind Kids Club.

Action News first told you about their random acts of kindness campaign in February. First graders at the school perform random acts at home and at school, and heir contribution to the community was to collect baby books, toys and rattles for the hospital. Their goal was to collect 300 items, and they exceeded that goal.

Before Air George took off to return to the hospital, a few of the kids helped load the helicopter with the items they collected. Starr Elementary's principal says he was very proud of his students.
