Diamond 'Dogs swept by New Mexico

FRESNO, Calif.

Sophomore right-hander Tim Borst was on the hill for the Bulldogs, and did well, giving up four earned runs in seven innings of work, striking out six. But he would get the no decision. The lobos come back with two runs in the ninth on a wild pitch to win 6-4. Fresno State gave up nine ninth innings runs in the series.

And across Cedar Avenue to Bulldog Diamond, the Bulldogs looking to end Fresno State Classic play on a high note against St. Mary's. Jill Compton pitched a complete game shutout, and the Bulldogs waiting until the sixth inning to score their three runs.

Fresno State beats head coach Trisha Ford's alma mater, 3-0. The Bulldogs improve to 15-and-10 overall on the year.
