Dante Billeci is a saxophone player and eighth grader at Tierra Linda Middle School in San Carlos. He's been chosen for this year's Middle School Honors Performance series in June.
He says he's loved jazz music his whole life.
"My mom even tells me that I would fall asleep in the car listening to jazz and I even had a little toy saxophone when I was around five. And I picked up the actual saxophone around 10, and I've been playing it since," said Billeci.
Billeci says he was almost in tears when he found out he was accepted.
He's not sure yet if he wants to be a professional saxophone player, so he's just going to see where the road takes him.
