Man found and arrested in Mexico for attempted murder in Clovis

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Some closure for an incident that happened last year. Clovis police arrested Bernardo Madueno for trying to kill his girlfriend.

With the help of the United States Marshal Service Madueno was found in Mexico.

In May of 2015 investigators said he shot the woman in the face and buttocks. They believe it was a domestic violence crime, however, there is no prior history of violence between the two.

The couple has four children together who saw the shooting firsthand.
