FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A Fresno man was arrested Sunday morning after police say he claimed to be salesman while driving in a stolen Corvette.
Officers were sent out to the CarMax near Palm and Herndon Avenues around 3:30 a.m. when they saw an orange 2008 Chevrolet Corvette trying to leave the gated lot.
Police stopped the driver, 23-year-old Soney Ash, who claimed he worked for Brashers Auto Auction while wearing a traffic vest and handed the officers false paperwork.
Ash was arrested and police found a shaved key and other burglary tools on his person.
He was booked into the Fresno County Jail for auto theft, possession of stolen property and possession of burglary tools.
