Valley correctional officer accused of sex crime with teen girl

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A correctional officer from Avenal State Prison is accused of a sex crime with a 15-year-old girl.

Kingsburg police say Chad Shaddon, 39, was in a relationship with the victim's mother. The mom showed up at their department on Friday to report the crime.

Officers arrested Shaddon after an investigation. He was booked into jail for lewd and lascivious acts with a child and sexual battery, but he was released on bond Saturday morning.
