Horse Therapy Ranch in Clovis asking for help after feed supply ruined
Leaders of the Heart of the Horse Therapy Ranch say they uncovered a large stack of feed for the horses only to find rain had leaked inside and ruined the supply.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A local therapy organization is facing an emergency this summer and needs your help.

Leaders of the Heart of the Horse Therapy Ranch say they uncovered a large stack of feed for the horses only to find rain had leaked inside and ruined the supply.

Because of the leak, they lost a year's worth of food for the horses.

The groups said that's roughly 38 tons of hay.

"We covered it with blue tarps, which is unfortunate because during the big rains it ended up leaking and we lost it," Guy Adams with the group said. "It all went to mold so we're scrambling right now to keep our horses fed. And not have to spend money earmarked for veteran's groups and stuff like that."

The Clovis nonprofit offers therapeutic horse riding for people with physical and mental disabilities.

The group is taking donations to help buy more feed.
