CLOVIS, Calif. (KFSN) -- If you're hitting the trails to go for a run, walk or bike ride, there's a new place in Clovis to take your exercise even further.
The City of Clovis unveiled five different workout stations along the "Clovis Old Town Trail" off of Clovis Avenue and Santa Ana. The exercise machines were purchased and installed thanks to a $40-thousand grant from Kaiser Permanente.
City officials say the equipment will encourage people using the trails to improve their strength, flexibility and balance. The machines rely on a person's own body weight for resistance.
"These stations give individuals who are looking to increase their fitness levels opportunities to come in and do some anaerobic and aerobic activities," said Nathan Magsig, Mayor of Clovis.
Some of the exercise equipment includes cycle machines for your legs and arms, chest and leg presses -- as well as balance boards.
