Tuolumne Street Bridge demolition information

WHAT:

The Tuolumne Street Bridge heading into downtown Fresno is scheduled to be demolished, and then rebuilt to accommodate High-Speed Rail.

WHY:

The Tuolumne Street Bridge will be rebuilt so that the highest point of the bridge is shifted to the west creating clearance for High-Speed trains.

WHEN:

Demolition is scheduled to begin January 4, 2016

TIMELINE:

Demolition and construction is expected to last 10-12 months

CLOSURES:

Tuolumne Street from F Street to Broadway Street

G Street and H Street will have periodic closures at Tuolumne Street

DETOURS:

From Southbound CA-99 take exit 133A Stanislaus Street make a left on Tuolumne Street, a right at F Street and left onto Fresno Street

From Northbound CA-99 take exit 132B and follow signs for Fresno Street

From CA-180 take exit 57B and follow signs for Fulton Street
