FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The fire sparked around 11:15 p.m. Thursday on Park Street and Van Horn Street. Firefighters got there and found an abandoned home, fully engulfed in flames. No one was hurt, but firefighters were prepared for the worst when they first got the call.

"We had a report that there was possibly someone inside. It is an abandoned structure, but some kids reported someone may be in there. So we did an interior search and found no one. Pulled our crews out and went to putting the fire out," said Captain Michael Kain, City of Selma Fire Department.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
