Fresno County hit-and-run crash causes Amtrak delay

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The California Highway Patrol is investigating a hit and run crash in Fresno County.

It happened just before six this morning on Davis Avenue near Clovis Avenue -- that's just north of the town of Laton.

Travel was delayed for several Amtrak passengers who were not able to make it to their destination on time.

Officers say a driver crashed into train.

That person then took off on foot.

Authorities are working to track them down.

No injuries were initially reported at the scene.
