FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Around 30,000 people were expected to show up to the first Fresno State home game of the season Saturday.
Some of those folks spent time several hours before the game tailgating with family and friends. Taylor MacAdam, a Fresno State alum, was one of them. He tells Action News this is something he and his buddies have been planning for weeks.
"We had a little tough loss against Nebraska but it's nice to be home and the first tailgate is always a good time," he said.
The Fresno State Marching Band even stopped by one of the tailgating lots to perform its fight song before the game.
Just before the game started, there was a moment of reflection for the two officers injured last Saturday in the Fresno County Jail shooting.
