FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Community members gathered Friday night for the wake of former Fresno City Councilman Les Kimber. His daughter took a moment to thank everyone for all of their support, and then several people shared stories and memories.
Mr. Kimber served two terms on the City Council in the 1980s. He was also a dedicated civil rights activist who helped organize the annual Martin Luther King Jr. March in Downtown Fresno.
Saturday morning, a celebration of life will be held at Saint Rest Baptist Church in Southwest Fresno.
