California is often referred to as the Golden State, yet many are surprised to learn that almost 1/3 of the state's population lives in poverty, according to some measures. And the gap between the rich and the poor is getting wider.

What are the causes and what are the possible solutions to poverty and income inequality? We'll talk to two experts from the nonpartisan Public Policy Institute of California -- Sarah Bohn and Caroline Danielson.
