Art challenge held at Old Town Clovis

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The city of Clovis is taking it to the streets to get a more urban look in Old Town Clovis.

An Urban Design Contest is challenging community members to turn parking spaces into human spaces this weekend.

The Taking it to the Streets Festival is aimed at creating a space for people to interact with each other using parklets.

It'll feature 20 parklets spread throughout the streets of Old Town Clovis.

The event starts Saturday and lasts through Sunday.

Awards for various categories will be given out.
