Man killed in Orange Cove identified

ORANGE COVE, Calif. (KFSN) -- Investigators have identified the man killed Thursday night following a shooting in Orange Cove.

Fresno County Sheriff's deputies say 26-year-old Silverio Tapia was standing outside a home with two friends near Celaya and Martinez around 6:30 Thursday evening when three men approached them and opened fire.

It is still unclear what provoked the shooting, but the victim was the only person injured.

Deputies are now searching for the suspects and anyone with information is asked to call the Fresno Sheriff's Office.
