Central Valley Blood Center in need of donors
Blood Center officials say a high number of emergency calls over the weekend caused the supply to drop to just 39 percent and the O Negative supply below 9 percent.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The valley's blood levels are at critical levels and there's a desperate need for donors at our blood banks.

Blood Center officials say a high number of emergency calls over the weekend caused the supply to drop to just 39 percent.

The Central California Blood Center is asking for all donors to visit any of their locations to donate, but with the O Negative supply below nine percent. They're hoping donors with that type come in right away.

The blood center has four locations: three in Fresno and one in Visalia.
