Large fire destroys home in Fresno County

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fresno County investigators are looking for the cause of a fire that started overnight. It began at a home on Herndon near Bethel around 4 a.m. Monday.

By the time firefighters arrived they say the home was covered in flames and the roof had collapsed. Officials say their response was delayed because of thick fog in the area.

It's not believed anyone was inside the home at the time.
