Man falls 400 feet to his death while camping in Fresno County

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Friends told authorities the man walked away for a bathroom break, when he slipped and fell off a cliff.

The Fresno County Sheriff's Office said deputies responded to the area of Tollhouse Road and Shaver Springs Road Thursday morning for a body rescue. Around 10 p.m. Wednesday, a 32-year-old man was camping, when he walked away for a bathroom break. During that time, he slipped and fell off a 400 foot cliff.

Deputies said his friends went out to look for him after he didn't return and discovered his body. Deputies were able to retrieve the man's body early Thursday morning.
