Robbers make off with pillowcase full of guns in Fresno Firearms robbery
Officers say the owner and an employee were forced to the ground while the masked men took several weapons.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fresno police say two armed men robbed a gun store and got away with what appeared to be a pillowcase full of handguns.

It happened at Fresno Firearms on Blackstone near Sierra in North Fresno.

Officers say the owner and an employee were forced to the ground while the masked men took several weapons.

Police say no shots were fired, but a witness was hurt as the robbers got away.

Jon Papaleo with the Fresno Police Department said, "As they were exiting the business, there was another store owner from this complex here who was walking into the business with a couple cups of coffee. The individuals forced this individual to the ground injuring his head. He does have a laceration to his head but he is ok."

Nearby Centennial Elementary was placed on lockdown for several hours. Investigators are now reviewing several surveillance cameras in the area.
