Wildfire near Coalinga forces evacuations

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Steep terrain is making it difficult for firefighters near Coalinga who are trying to extinguish a 240-acre wild land fire.

The flames have damaged several homes and evacuation warnings remain in place.

Firefighters say smoldering material that continues to roll down the hillside poses a significant challenge.

The fire is at 20 percent containment and Los Gatos Road is still closed.
