Man trimming tree cuts his own safety line, falls 40 feet

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Fresno Fire Department said a man was trimming a 40-foot palm tree when he accidentally cut his own safety line and fell to the ground.

Firefighters said the accident happened at a home on Ashurst Drive, near Fort Washington Road and Champlain Drive. The victim was taken by ambulance to the hospital for treatment of traumatic injuries.
