FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The man arrested for a deadly drunk-driving crash in Fresno last year is no longer contesting the charges in that case. Rafael Pedroza pleaded no contest on Friday to gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, among several other charges.

Pedroza was arrested and accused of causing a fiery crash in Southeast Fresno back in November. That crash killed two people -- 40-year-old Jacqueline Rivera and her 11-year-old daughter Aaliyah Chavez.

Police say Pedroza was found hiding underneath a bed inside a nearby apartment after the crash. A security guard said he saw Pedroza stumbling through the complex and alerted police.
