FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Three Fresno teenagers are now suspended from Roosevelt High School as video of a brutal beating goes viral on Facebook.

Police say the fight happened between three 15-year-old girls Monday morning. A knee to the face of a 15-year-old girl. That's how a classroom brawl ends, and a criminal investigation begins.

"I'd be ashamed of that if my kid was involved in something like that," said Fresno Police Lieutenant Joe Gomez.

We blurred this video so you can't see the teenagers involved. But police say two teen girls were arrested for fighting on school grounds and battering their classmate.

The fight started off camera because of a teenage boy. Police said he made up a rumor that the victim was spreading lies about one of the suspects. .

"All three people were suspended. The two female suspects and the teen boy who provided the false statement," said Gomez.

Adding fuel to this violent fire is mom of this suspect. She shared the video on Facebook and said 'My daughter's crazy...she's in the white.'

Amid the chaos, the teacher is forced to back off the students during the brawl.

"They have to watch out when they put their hands on the students they really do. They know exactly what they can do and what they can't do," said Gomez.

The Fresno Unified School District couldn't talk on camera but gave us this statement, "Acts of violence in our schools are unacceptable. The safety of our students and our staff is our top priority and the district has no tolerance for this type of behavior. The staff reacted appropriately and the two students were cited by the Fresno Police Department. Further student disciplinary action is being taken in accordance with California Education Code."

Luckily the teen victim wasn't severely injured but because of that police say the suspects were only charged with misdemeanor crimes.
