FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The city of Selma is moving forward with plans to build a new multi-million dollar police station.
The new building would replace the aging police station, which is a converted train station on Front Street.
It was meant to be a temporary facility when it first opened in the 1960s. The new station will be built next to Selma City Hall.
The city hopes to have a cost analysis ready by next September. The new station is expected to cost about $8 million.
The majority of funding will come from Measure S funds, and the city will also seek money from the state.
