Stand for Justin Drive kicks off during Friday Night Football

Friday night, Coach Justin Garza's Central High Grizzlies will take to the field, but the community will also be gathering to help him and others find a match.

STAND FOR JUSTIN DRIVE KICKS OFF DURING FRIDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL
Valley residents and high school football programs across our area are joining forces to help beloved Coach Justin Garza battle cancer.

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- Hundreds of people will pack the Deran Koligian Stadium to cheer on the Grizzlies at the home opener and also to support beloved Coach Justin Garza who is fighting cancer for the third time. People across the Valley have been joining in to help him find a match, but also to help others.



"Be the Match" will be on site helping to swab and register potential donors, 1 in 500 people that register will be a match. It is Coach Garza's hope to register as many people to possible help others in a similar situation.



To join "Be The Match," participates must be between the ages of 18 and 44 years old, make a good faith commitment, be willing to donate if you are a match to anyone in need, meet health eligibility guidelines, complete paperwork, and get a swab of the inside of the cheek.

Dinuba High School is also holding a blood drive and bone marrow registry for Coach Garza Friday night from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Dinuba High.
