Stroke Signs and Symptoms

Signs and symptoms of a stroke that could help save a life.

In looking for the signs of a stroke you want to think of the word FAST.

F stands for FACE - You want to look for a droopy face or numbness on one side

A is for ARM weakness- You want to have them lift their arms up evenly to see if they can do that while looking for weakness of the muscles or numbness.

S is for SPEECH- Check for slurred speech, inability to get words out, or speech that is not making sense.

T is for TIME- It's time to call 911.

If you experience any of the signs or see anybody experiencing any of these signs it's time to take charge and call 911.
