Man killed while crossing the street in Visalia

VISALIA, Calif. -- The Fresno County Coroner's Office has identified the South Valley man hit and killed by a car last night.

Antonio Contreras Campos, 56, from Visalia was crossing Dinuba Boulevard near Vine when he was hit just before 10 p.m. He was airlifted to a Fresno hospital where he later died.

The man who hit the Campos is cooperating with investigators, but they're still looking into whether the driver could face charges.
