The holiday travel rush is on. Millions of people are hitting the roads and severe weather across the country, including here in California, is causing some major delays.

Flood watches and blizzard warnings are causing weather alerts in 19 states as storms hit the West Coast, the Plains and East Coast this holiday weekend. The winter weather is causing a travel headache for many trying to get to their destinations at airports across the country.

San Francisco and Los Angeles are experiencing flight cancellations and delays. San Francisco was seeing 45 cancellations and 162 delays just before noon on Friday. In Southern California, many flights were being canceled or delayed at LAX. Nearly 200 flights in and out of the airport, but mostly arrivals, are being impacted by weather on Friday.
