Woman hit by car while riding bike in Merced, police say

MERCED, Calif. (KFSN) -- A 44-year-old woman is in critical condition after she was hit by a car while riding her bike in Merced.

Officers say she was flown to a Modesto hospital with major head trauma.

The driver did stay on the scene and is cooperating with the police.

Alcohol or drugs do not appear to be factored in the collision.
