February 20, 2009 12:00:00 AM PST
We begin with late-breaking news....a possible break in the murder of Chandra levy, a case that rocked the central valley and the nation.Guandique is serving time for assaulting two women in the same Washington D.C. area park where Levy's remains were found.

Chandra Levy vanished in May of 2001. She was a Modesto native and at the time was an intern for the Federal Bureau of Prisons in Washington D.C.

After her disappearance, levy was linked romantically to Modesto congressman Gary Condit, who denied those allegations and also denied any connection to her murder.

Levy's remains were found in the Rock Creek Park in 2002. An autopsy determined she was strangled.

As for this possible suspect -- Ingmar Guandique -- police have reportedly submitted evidence to the U.S. Attorney's Office in the hopes of arresting him soon.

D.C. Police won't confirm or deny this report. Guandique is currently at a federal prison here in California.
