Jeopardy Valley Contestant

Fresno, CA Family and friends showed up to World Sports Cafe at River Park Thursday night to cheer on 12-year old Jacob Hambalek.

Jacob beat out thousands of kids for a spot in this year's "Kids Week" tournament, and finished as the runner-up, even after correctly guessing the final Jeopardy question.

Even though he missed out on the $10,000 dollar grand prize, Jacob says it's an experience he'll never forget.

Jacob Hambalek, Jeopardy! contestant said "I was kinda shocked that i got on at first, and I'm like, wow.. When they said I'm from Fresno, I was shocked, I was like wow. All of Fresno is going to know that Jacob Hambalek is gonna be on jeopardy."

Jacob takes home $2,000 dollars for coming in second, third place won $1,000 dollars.
