Jeopardy Valley Contestant

Thursday's night jeopardy, on ABC 30, featured some tough competition between some of the country's brightest kids, including one from here in the Valley.Family and friends showed up to World Sports Cafe at River Park Thursday night to cheer on 12-year old Jacob Hambalek.

Jacob beat out thousands of kids for a spot in this year's "Kids Week" tournament, and finished as the runner-up, even after correctly guessing the final Jeopardy question.

Even though he missed out on the $10,000 dollar grand prize, Jacob says it's an experience he'll never forget.

Jacob Hambalek, Jeopardy! contestant said "I was kinda shocked that i got on at first, and I'm like, wow.. When they said I'm from Fresno, I was shocked, I was like wow. All of Fresno is going to know that Jacob Hambalek is gonna be on jeopardy."

Jacob takes home $2,000 dollars for coming in second, third place won $1,000 dollars.
